Who we are
This website is operated by Talented IP, an independent IP intelligence and enforcement advisory focused on Southeast Asia and Greater China. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean Talented IP.
If you have any questions about this notice or your personal data, email oliver@talentedip.com.
What this site collects
This website has no user accounts. Our contact form collects the details you choose to provide when making an enquiry. After submitting, you may optionally provide high-level information about the issue, markets, current stage, desired outcome and timing.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the site securely and reliably, and we do not use it to identify you.
When you contact us
If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, organisation if provided, and message. If you email us directly, we receive your email and anything you choose to include. We use these details to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to discuss or provide our services.
We use Resend to deliver contact-form enquiries to our email inbox, and Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent spam. These providers process the information needed to deliver messages or verify submissions, including relevant technical information. Delivery and security records may be retained by the providers under their own retention policies. Contact-form enquiries are not stored in a separate database on this website.
After a successful enquiry, we use a secure, temporary cookie to link optional additional context to that enquiry. It expires after one hour and contains an enquiry reference and technical receipt information, rather than your contact details or enquiry text. Additional context is delivered separately to our inbox using the same enquiry reference. We also keep the originating page and referring website in temporary browser session storage to give the enquiry a source; this excludes query strings and form information and ends when the browser tab is closed.
Please do not send confidential case material until we have agreed how it will be handled. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement first.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and actions such as submitting an enquiry or adding optional context. Google Analytics may use cookies and process technical information about your browser and visit. We do not send form names, email addresses, enquiry text, optional answers or enquiry references to Google Analytics. We do not use analytics for automated case assessment or pricing.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits to public pages. We exclude private enquiry confirmation pages and remove query strings and fragments from the page URLs we send; we do not send enquiry content or contact details to Vercel Web Analytics.
How we look after it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was provided, or as long as we are required to by law. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except service providers that help us run our business (such as email and hosting) or where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store data outside the country where you are located. Where they do, we rely on them to protect it appropriately.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email oliver@talentedip.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
